Continue..: but pace yourself and don't overdo it since excess exercise can't alter your cycle and in some cases, stop it. I suggest reviewing with your GYN and consider BC pills to regulate your cycle.

20 years ago i had a brief period of alcohol for around 6 months (in moderate quantity), gave up since then and got no history of liver problem. recently had bile duct obstruction from a stone, it is removed. does this stop liver recovery?

: No, that transient bile duct obstruction does not have any impact on your liver with history of alcohol use in a short time more than 20 years ago. Liver has good regenerative capacity, you should only worry when liver fibrosis and/or cirrhosis were present in the past. Without these lesions, your liver was considered normal before the stone event.

Yes: The female hormones, estrogen and progesterone, fluctuate in a given month.  There tends to be more weight gain and bloating and water retention in the latter half of the cycle due to predominance of Progesterone then.  Likely by the 3-4 day of your cycle it's getting better?  Definitely natural and some women have worse than others.  Good luck and be well.
