Viral exposure: The oral herpes virus is very common and can unfortunately manifest as lesions on post the lips and the genitals. if either of you has the virus and have engaged in oral sex, then transmission is possible. Nevertheless if you maintain good health and community than the likelihood of recurrence and symptoms will be low. Fortunately herpes is treatable, but you guys should talk about it together.

She can: There's no way to tell now if she will, but it is possible, even if the lesions are "healing."

i would suggest that she contact a health care provider right away and request a rx for acyclovir. This interferes with viral replication, and could, at least in theory, prevent her from developing herpes.

Always abstain from contact until your lesions are entirely healed, just to be safe.

Unclear question: If you have oral herpes and it is HSV 1, and your partner already has HSV 1, then you will not transmit the infection with or without the sore.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.

Cold : Cold sores or fever blisters are caused by herpes simplex virus type 1 (hsv-1) and are extremely common. Most people become infected as an infant or small child when kissed or by sharing eating utensils with an adult who has the virus. The virus is most contagious when someone has a cold sore, but can still be passed along by someone who does not. Many people do not even know that they are infected because the virus can "hide out" in the nerve cells for very long periods of time - for some people it hides out forever and they never get a cold sore. For others, the virus can "wake up" and that's when a cold sore happens. No one knows exactly what causes a cold sore to appear - sometimes stress, illness, fevers, colds, sunlight, cold weather, menstruation, certain foods, allergies, you name it! they usually last 7-10 days and are more of an annoyance than a danger unless you have a weakened immune system or contract a bacterial infection on top of the cold sore.

Genital herpes is typically caused by herpes simplex type 2 (hsv-2) and can only be spread via sexual contact with an infected person.  The bad news is that you can get an hsv -1 infection in the genital area from oral sex.  The good news is that 80% of the population have been exposed to it and have antibodies to hsv-1 that will help protect them.  Your girlfriend has already been exposed (by kissing you) and you already have hsv-1, so both of you likely have antibodies and so have a low likelihood of causing genital infections with hsv-1.

Yes: Herpes simplex is caused by a virus and is transmitted
primarily by close physical contact.  Any active lesions
have live virus and therefore can be spread to another
person.  If someone does not have any active lesions
then the transmission of the virus is probably very small but still possible.

Good chance: Herpes type ii aka genital herpes can occur orally with oral sex. 
Hsv ii can be shed even when you don't have symptoms or visible blister.    You may have it for many years and not even know it, and be passing it around to other.  Big dilema.

Herpes: There is too many conflicting questions here. What is the real question?

Oral herpes is not genital herpes 99% of the time. If you do not have immunity from a previous exposure to herpes you can get herpes where ever you are exposed to it.  That is why we no longer use the terms 'oral' and 'genital'. As mentioned over and over here all sexually active adults need a blood test to check herpes.

Possible: There's always a possibility of transmission, and you can autoinfect (which this is, essentially) from one part of the body to another.
