is there any other way to get rid of blue balls without ejaculating? would any medication work? could i just put ice packs?

"Blue balls": The condition you describe is most often due to prolonged erection.  The erect penis, although engorged with blood, actually has ver low blood flow in and out . This "ischemia" due to poor oxygen delivery to the penis tissue eventually causes severe penile pain which often is referred to the scrotum and testes.  Ejaculation typically causes the erection to subside.  Thus, blood flow improves.

is it ok to ice area for injection of levenox to decrease discomfort or will it affect the effectiveness of medication?

It's ok: That's ok - no problem.  The area will warm up after the ice is removed and the Lovenox (enoxaparin) is given under the top layers of skin and tissue as a Depo-Provera shot.

: Medication should be managed by your Psychiatrist. It's a good idea to have a complete physical exam by your PCP to know if you have a physical illness that is causing symptoms. You could be helped by a Clinical Psychologist with expertise in multiple types of psychotherapy. If you are not confident in your Doctor please see another for a second opinion.

i m taking taltz for controlling my psoriasis problem.  i have a feeling that the effectiveness of the medication is starting to drop after one year as i m seeing that i have some flare for my psoriasis on my scalp.  is my assumption correct?

Talk to your doctor: Although drug tolerance can develop to many drugs in some cases, it may also be from the increasing severity of your illness. Best to consult your doctor.

Local drops: Usually the drops will cure the eye problem. Very rare to have to use systemic medication.

total bilirubin level was 1.36 mg/dl one week back. taking sylabon70 for a week. now the level is 0.57 . can i stop the medication. is the drop normal?

Accepted Answer

Stop it: You should not have been given the stuff In the first place. Lab reference ranges are set so that a few percent of healthies fall outside on either end. These values fluctuate. A slightly high value is no danger, just something for which, if persistent, an explanation should be sought.

No: Astigmatism results from asymmetric curvature of the cornea. Influenced by variety of factors, including size and shape of the eyeball,  position of eyelids, bone structure around eye, age, stiffness of cornea, use of contact lenses, even excessive eye rubbing or pressure on the eyeball at night from sleeping face down. Usually vision correctable w glasses, contacts or lasik.

That's tough: Without a diagnosis.  Have u seen a doc? Any numbness or other symptoms.  Check swelling as an isolated issue is not a common problem.  I'm interested to see what others have to say but i would be on something like aleve (naproxen) 2 2x per day for pain. Gdluc.

Ibuprofen 800mg: Every 6 hours (unless you have a contraindication), sleep slightly elevated, switch over to moist heat application after 48 hours.  Sometimes steroids are given intra-operatively and even post-operatively if significant swelling is anticipated.  Normal body response to surgery.  Also just has to "run its course".

how long does glue ear in adults typically last and does it go away on its own or does it require medication or drops?

Accepted Answer

: No treatment unless there is superimposed bacterial infection or problem persists more than 3 months. Most cases resolve spontaneously within the first three months.
