can i give my 2 year old a fever reducing suppository and a children's liquid tylenol (acetaminophen) and/or motrin?

Children fever: First thing first .Why the child have fever? any cough, runny nose, wheezing , or any skin rash, etc...Does the child look OK or he is real sick. Does he need to the doctor right away or not? One of danger is high fever can cause febrile seizure. Ibuprofen in appropriate dose if he is older than 6 months could help. Sponge bath,ice pack, bath in luke warm water also very effective too.

3 year old daughter 28 lbs. fever and earache started saturday. alternating tylenol and motrin. had dose of tylenol and vomited immediately after dose. is it safe to give tylenol suppository? or wait an hour until she can have the motrin again?

: I have never found alternating these two very helpful. I like the Motrin since it lasts longer. If the kids fever is at or less than 102 at that age &amp; she is taking fluids well/eating some, I would stick with the Motrin alone. If the fever is less than 101 I would not treat it, but use Motrin for comfort as needed.

i accidentally squirted 5ml clarentyne into childrens ibuprofen bottle is it still safe to use or should i throw it away the bottle was almost full. ?

Accidental mixing: It's probably fine. If the ibuprofen bottle is almost full and you essentially diluted one dose of loratadine into it, it's not going to have much impact on the concentration of the ibuprofen but significantly reduce the concentration of the loratadine. If you are still concerned, then just throw it out and start new for your own peace of mind.

See Your Provider!: It is not normal to have headaches every day.  You need a work up.  See your provider asap. Children's Motrin (ibuprofen) is probably not the right dose for you. At 47, you could take up to 800mg. 3 x per day. Call your provider today!

Drink up: Typical dosage for adults is typically 200-400mg every 6 hours.  So grab your teaspoon measure and take 2-4 teaspoons.

Yes: We avoid it in the first 6 months while baby's kidneys are maturing but it is fine at that point when used properly (dose by weight/interval.)

Yes: Advil (ibuprofen) is routinely used after the age of 6 months.
