Multiple Causes: Without a better history, it's not possible to say. Is there history of sprain of your back say from lifting or prolonged bending? Have you noticed any change in the color of your urine-could be a kidney stone. May just be sleeping on a "bad" bed. Could even be coming from your colon from diverticulits. You need to see a doctor to get the answer sorted out.

Back pain: Maybe your back pain this time is worse?  Different?  Try Advil (ibuprofen) and ice and stretching. If symptoms worsen or change or go unimproved for 24-48 hours - see your doctor.

No: I have never heard of the master cleanse causing that. I would go to a doctor and make sure you don't have a kidney infection or stone.

Many things...: Excess weight frequently contributes to musculoskeletal pain - sore backs, sore knees, etc. You may have strained it lifting something, using poor technique. There are other medical conditions that might explain back pain: menstrual cramps, urinary tract infections, endometriosis, etc. Alternating heat and ice can be a good first-line treatment. It's great you recognize now the impact of weight!

Early for menopause?: I'm not sure I'd jump to that conclusion based on what you've said. No, let me rephrase- I'm SURE I wouldn't jump to that conclusion based on what you've said. Is this the 1st time you've ever had such a discharge? I suggest a visit to your primary doctor. They may wish to order a urine test and if necessary a visit to the OB/GYN. Good estimate for menopause when mother or sister began.

Febrile Low Back P: Yes.  The temp warrants evaluation especially if it does not respond to tyelenol or ibuprofen.   Flu can increase muscle and joint pains including the back.

Need doc exam: Causes of pain are mostly muscular in scoliosis, but your surgical rods may have slipped, arthritis in facets, new compression fracture, or nerve crowding may also be causes. See you doc for x rays and a proper evaluation

Hard to guess: A fever is a body temperature at least 1-2 degrees (F) above normal, caused by chemicals released during an infection (most common cause) or during an allergic reaction, an auto-immune reaction, a drug side-effect, etc...  An abnormally high body temperature from over-dressing or getting overheated on a summer day is usually not called a fever. One's primary care doctor can check it out.

Try to relax: I know it's easier said then done but remember that there are many causes for low back pain other than cervical cancer.  For your age advanced cervical cancer is rare.  I know that you have already had your Pap smear completed and are just awaiting the results and that's fine but I would make sure that you aren't ignoring the many other possibilities that could be contributing to your symptoms.

have a kidney infection, &given 10 days of levaquin (levofloxacin). taken 5 doses, and woke up this morning with horrible back pain on both sides. is the med working?

Sometimes : Oral antibiotics alone is not effective in treating kidney infection.  You might have kidney stones also.  Contact your doctor for specific advice.
