i went to the chiropractor and he told me one of my legs is longer than other. do they tell this to everyone?

Accepted Answer

Common: People do have leg length discrepancies.  It is usually not an issue.  Just because you are told such does not mean there is anything seriously wrong with you or that you need a 12 week course of treatment.  It will depend on your complaint, your general health and your level of activity.  Don't hesitate to seek a second opinion.

can sciatica effect both legs? my chiropractor says i'm very out of alignment and i was in agony with one leg and now it's in the other

Uncertain it is you: Yes, sciatica can occur in both legs.  It is not certain this is your diagnosis, all we know is that you have pain in both legs and your chiropractor thinks you are out of alignment.

Get a 2nd opinion: I am not familiar with the term "weak joints" and I am a rheumatologist. Get another opinion with a rheumatologist or orthopedist.

i have been experiencing lower back pain for 5 weeks. and been seeing chiropractor for at least 4 weeks. i have no tingling in my legs. i am in constant pain and not sure what to do anymore. do i just continue to visit chiro and for how long?

Chiropractic care.:  Low back pain can be difficult to deal with. Have you seen an orthopedic surgeon ? If not, that may help to accurately assess.

Sounds serious: You already decided to get professional help by chiropractor. You should either go back to chiropractor to tell him/her of your continuing problem or find a medical doctor and get medical evaluation. Pain in leg can be life or limb threatening depending on pathology. Not trying to scare you but it would be good idea to take quick action. You don't want blood suppy to get cut off by swelling.

i have had left leg pain since 2013. i took xrays, seen a chiropractor for 6 months and now on gabapretin 300mg. nothing is helping. its getting worse?

Maybe need more Gaba: Gabapentin is a good drug for nerve pain--but you are taking a pretty small dose.  I recommend a high enough dose during the day to relieve your pain, but not get sleepy.  At night, a higher dose can be used.  Gabapentin is a great sleep-inducer.  It enhances slow wave sleep.  Usual dose is 600-800 mg at night--but often need to go much higher.  You can take whatever dose is needed for sleep.

tingling, tickling, buzzing, throughout left leg with twitches and pinch feelings. had chiropractor adjustment last week. could it be nerve?

Could be: It certainly could be a herniated disc causing lumbar radiculopathy.  

A formal exam by a pm;r doctor or other spine specialist could help to determine if that is true lumbar radiculopathy or something else mimicing it (piriformis syndrome with sciatica for instance).

can an adult permanently grow taller by going to a chiropractor w/ the adjustments done during those visits? would the torso or legs grow as a result?

No: If you're 36 yo, there is nothing a chiropractor can do that will make you grow more.
