my 4 years kid frothing while sleeping at night . and noisy sleeping sometime . his dr noticed tonsil a month ago and gave him antibiotics too . but now from a week his sleeping behaviour changed . what is the possible cause ? kindly suggest me ?

my daughter finished a course of antibiotics today (for coughing & post nasal she has environmental allergies) but now she has red, warm cheeks. could this be a sign of sinusitis? no coughing and no runny nose.

Check temperature: The infection may recur, monitor for fever and signs of infection. If she is otherwise well and there is no rash, she is probably fine. Please follow up with your Pediatrician.

given augmentin for sinusitis. developed few hives after two days. stopped medicine. now on doxycycline for 10 days. concerned about building up antibiotic resistance and if doxycycline is powerful enough to cure. thoughts?

Antibiotic allergy: can occur in any individual. Doxycycline is an excellent substitute and should not cause any issues. Yes it it powerful enough to cure a sinus infection.

just finished 2nd round of antibiotics for sinusitis, no change.  now have ear ache, sore throat, + a rash on chest, back, + ankles. dr. office closed?

Decongestants: I would try an over the counter decongestant such as Mucinex (guaifenesin) d and some zinc lozenges but if no relief, you need to see an ENT specialist--may need sinus drainage.

i took antibiotics for a swollen, clogged ear, finished 4 days ago. ear still pops, a bit sore when i swallow, now a sore throat with postnasal drip.  had nasal endoscopy and mri 4 months back due to severe sinusitis, clear. when should i go to ent?

Sinus infection: It might be infected again (or an original infection might not have completely resolved) but there is also a strong likelihood that the tissues are congested and causing pressure and pain. Do you have fever or colored nasal mucous?  I suggest that you contact your doctor. Hope you feel better soon.

Its fancy name  is dysautonomia, extremely common in U.S. And usually related to empty calories i.E food with insufficient vitamins.

Difficult question: The clinical diagnosis of acute sinusitis can be challenging.I usually rely more on how sick does the pt appear.Is there a lot of pain in sinus area?This,along with a pus like nasal discharge,fever,swelling,history of prior episodes,risk factors like allergic rhinitis all must be considered.The gold standard test is a CT of the sinuses.Once a diagnosis is made,antibiotics,Afrin nasal spray works.

i've just completed two rounds of antibiotics for sinusitis. now i've got laryngitis and i still feel sick. should i go back to my doctor again?

You may: Most Laryngitis are caused by viruses and are self limiting.But it is a good idea to consult your doctor as you still feel sick following Sinusitis.
