Hmmm....: That's like asking why get a haircut and style at a salon where you have to pay $49 when your relatives are getting the same cut and style for free because they are in the bridal party. The answer is because that cut and style looks just great. It's that simple. However, if coworkers have a benefit, maybe one can ask the employer how to become eligible for that benefit (you might qualify).

No: No mouth is bacteria free.  In proper balance the bacteria help us digest food.  We all have millions of bacterial cells living in our mouth all the time.  There are many causes of dry mouth.  Please see a Dentist for an evaluation.

Hernia: You may want to consider couples counseling. Or get to therapy yourself. Staying in a relationship with a man who whines but does not fix a problem may mean a life of misery.

It very well could be that your bf has the very common condition of having a hernia. Inguinal hernias are very common and easily repaired.
