i took clindamycin and developed a red rash on my face neck and chest. itches and tingled. benadryl (diphenhydramine) has not helped. no other symptoms. what can i do?

Allergic Reaction: You may be having an allergic reaction to the antibiotic.  This needs prompt evaluation by a doctor in the er.

: The doses must be determined by your physician who has examined you for this current condition. and knows your medical history as heavy doses of prednisone can affect blood pressure,blood sugar and cause sleeping difficulty. Can we be sure that the swelling of the face,ear&amp;neck is part of the allergic reaction &amp; not active infection that has not resolved and requires continued antibiotic treatment

: Rashes can be caused by topical exposures as well as ingested exposures. Make a thorough evaluation of all chemicals that may have been used on anything coming in contact with these areas. It could be a pillowcase, cushion, clothing, towel, sheets, even your clothes, that have been exposed to a new allergen. Use childrens claritin for the next two weeks for non drowsy allergy control.

what causes a red rash to come and go on neck chest and lower ab itches unreal. my chest and abdomen are separate bumps i scratch so much they end up looking like tiny holes.. my neck is a large solid patch it starts out like the rest. 5 years now?

i been taking diflucan (fluconazole) this morning i woke up with redness on my face burning red rash on my neck and itches. could it be allgeric reaction?

Yes: Nearly any drug can cause an allergic response and you need to avoid Diflucan (fluconazole) until proven otherwise.  Notify your doctor to see if you need medical attention if the problem is bothersome or worsens.   In the meanwhile try topical hydrocortisone cream.

Psoriasis: He has psoriasis.  It sounds severe. There are medications to help. Please get him to a good dermatologist.

i'm taking clindamycin for an infection on my face. 3 capsules 3 times a day for 5 days 150mg yesterday after my first dose my body started itching. no rashes but it itches i'm afraid to take benadryl since i'm breastfeeding my 4 month old daughter. ?

Benadryl safe: Benadryl is safe to use while breastfeeding although it may decrease the volume of breastmilk produced. However you should contact your doctor who prescribed the clindamycin and let them know you are itching.  You may need to stop the clindamycin and switch to another antibiotic.

i have this rash on my right boob, between the boobs and going up towards my neck. it itches, red bumps together in groups its seems to be spreading?

Allergy: This is probably because you are allergic to something. See your dermatologist to make sure.
