Yes: There are several stds that can cause proctitis (anal/rectal inflammation with pain, bleeding and discharge), especially after anal sex.  These include gonorrhea, chlamydia, herpes and syphilis.

Ulcerative colitis: No simple answer to care and treatment of uc. Start with a low fat, low gluten diet and a bowel regimen. Avoid alcohol and nicotine. Your primary doc will refer you to a GI doc for medications and colonoscopy. There are several medications that can help. Hopefully you will stabilize at this point. If not, surgical consult and procedures may become necessary.

NO blood: No blood should be in the stool If the child is constipated then this may explain it. BUT. the child needs seen by the doctor and then problem reevaluated. If the child has ongoing clay colored stool this will need to be looked into. Take the child to the pediatrician

i have uc and my blood in stool came back my gi dr knows about it i'm havering a colonoscopy but what can i do for now i don't get it for a month?

Advice from your doc: If you have had blood in your stool before, and have seen a gastroenterologist, then some treatment has probably already been prescribed.  This could be medication such as sulfasalazine, other oral or enema medications including Asacol (mesalamine) or Lialda, or even cortisone.  Call your doctor back to make sure she/he doesn't want you to increase or change your medication before your colonoscopy. Good luck!

Constipation blood: Constipation and trying to force your stools by pushing can sometime call abrasion in the anus and that will cause the bleeding when you go and strain again, sometimes internal hemorroids will bleed when you are constipated.If your stools are normal now that might be a reason why it stopped.Since you did have blood in the stool, it is a good idea to see a GI specialist and have colonoscopy done aswe.

Anal fissure: Likely there is a tear in the lining of the anus  that causes the pain during bowel movements . It can give you a little blood on the toilet tissue ora few drops of blood on the bowl or  the outside of the stool.The tear can happen if you have large stool, constipation or repeated diarrhea etc.  Inflammatory bowel disease has to be ruled out as well. Go to see your doctor to get it checked.
