daughters wrist swollen for 2 wks 3 days drs said its sprain then hand & fingers swelled 2 days ago. is this still a sprain? there's popping too.

Trauma or not?: If your daughter is 14 or less and there has been trauma, then a fracture of the wrist is much more likely than a sprain. A follow-up x-ray can be helpful in seeing a fracture at times when the first x-ray is normal. In the absence of trauma, other diagnoses must be considered such as infection or an autoimmune condition.

my wrist doesnt hurt that bad, but certain movements it feels very tense, like i want to pop it but i can't pop it the right way. how do i pop it? i sprained it for a while and it just stopped hurting but now its tense alot.

Physical therapy: If you had a recent injury, the best treatment at this point would be physical therapy to restore strength and range of motion to the wrist.  I believe that would eliminate that sensation of tenseness and the need to pop it.

someone slamed a door on my wrist my wrist went back a little and doctors said its sprained been 2 weeks now still hurts bad and it pops bad?

Get X-ray : If you're wrist is still hurting 2 wks.After the injury u described ; see your pcp ( or ors) for repeat examination and x-rays . Occassionally a fracture will not be seen or appreciated immediately . Scaphoid fractures ( snuffbox) of the wrist can be easily missed w/ standard x-rays. Best to have it checked out! gl!

i sprained my wrist (palm toward arm) 2 weeks ago. it pops in the back center of my wrist when used, then gets a sharp pain and bad ache after. why?

Early ganglion: There are many reasons for this, therefore appropriate diagnostic exam and perhaps mri.
It may be a ganglion cyst, capsular or ligament injury etc.

Depends: Wrist popping or clunking is very common.  Some of us (myself included)are predisposed to this because of our anatomy and congenital development.  Others develop symptoms as a result of an injury (old or new).  If it doesn't hurt and there is no dysfunction, it's probably ok.  If you are at all concerned, see your doctor or a wrist specialist for an evaluation.

Joint popping: Joint popping is common with restriction of joints. In general the pop allows for freedom of motion. If pop causes pain it should be evaluated.

A popping wrist: Maybe caused by a variety of issues or it may be just a simple natural normal occurrence often when one has pain in list start looking at a certain way to show that pain you start to notice little pops that may have been there. However popping may also mean that there is a ligament injury or a swollen joint and any proper evaluation by a hand surgeon can be great help.

Need to be examined: I would recommend seeing your doctor. You may have fractured one of the bones in your wrist or injured a tendon.

Probably : Just the tendon rolling over the bone if there is no pain, swelling, or history of injury

Popping Wrist: This could be happing for several reasons.  It could be like your knuckles cracking.  You could have fluid in your joint from arthritis or some other disease.  You could have an infection or it could be the results off an injury.  You gave little information, so the best thing is to go to your doctor and get it evaluated.
