U Surely Can!: But why oh why would you do it?  I don't know of anyone who would intentionally harm their child.  I don't know of anyone who would feed their child a toxic substance.  We boil bottles and nipples to protect from infection, we bathe &  clean our babies & we protect them from all harm.  Why oh why then would we smoke and give our baby a jolt of nicotine? For the woman, it can increase her chance of getting lung infections that can be very serious during pregnancy. For the child, it can increase the risk of respiratory diseases like asthma.

Not a good idea: Nicotine is nicotine whether it is in a smokeless cigarette, regular cigarrette, chewing tobacco, gum, patches......
It is better to consider giving up all nicotine during pregnancy because it can effect blood flow to the baby and effect growth.
There are many smoking cessation support programs. Also remember it takes about 3 days for the nicotine to get out of your system.
