Accepted Answer

It is not going to: have any particular impact on your surgery, although cigarette smoking will.  An anesthesiologist will interview you prior to your surgery about your anesthesia risks, and I always recommend that people be honest in that evaluation.

Smoke: Inhaling smoke of any kind puts lots of chemical toxins and irritants into your lungs. The result is what you are experiencing, stop smoking......Anything.

Not a good idea.: Marijuana smoke contains bronchial irritants. Inhalation with marijuana is more prolonged & deeper than with tobacco.  Higher combustion temperatures are reached because it is smoked to a shorter butt.  This leads to a carboxyhemoglobin concentration that is 5 x ^ than tobacco. 3 x more tar is inhaled. Prolonged use of cannabis can lead to airway inflammation, wheezing & ^ in sputum production. >>.

: There is little or no chance of transmitting syphilis except by kissing.  But if you have started treatment for syphilis -- usually with a single injection of penicillin -- you are non-infectious (unable to transmit syphilis by any kind of contact) within 24 hours.

: The tests you got were secondary in importance to a good local exam. If weed makes it worse the good thing to do is to stop and see if you are better - then it is a reaction from weed. If still persists pl get examined by a Urologist- as that is needed for management

Unlikely to be: cancer but does sound infectious. Whether it is Herpes or another infective agent cannot be determined without examining you. Make an appointment to be seen by a health care professional as soon as possible.

Don't know for sure: In the states that have medical marijuana about half allow its use for treatment of seizures. We know that some genetic plant strains can help with certain types of seizures where as others tend to lower the seizure threshold and make seizures more likely. Localized twitching or jerking of a part of the body may be due to focal seizure acitivity in the brain. Might want to look into this.

Prolonged: flexion and pressure on the popliteal space should not normally be a problem unless associated with prior injury, obesity, vascular insufficiency or other pathology.  Try to uncover and correct these first.  If none of those are in play then stretch your legs regularly to avoid.

Muscle inhibition: Knee pain can be due to anything from muscle imbalance (most commonly) and arthritis to nerve irritation at the level of the back. When the body senses pain, it can sometimes inhibit the surrounding muscles, making the area weak.  You should be evaluated by a sports medicine physician to determine the cause of the symptoms. Regardless, p.T. Is helpful to develop appropriate rehab program.

Not normal: A 21yo should not have severe knee pain.You must see your doctor and find out the cause...Then you know how to make it better.
