while i was washing very dirty dishes,my finger got cut by a knife(bleeding).i continued to wash dishes after getting the cut.also had another cut(healing).then,i handwashed dirty clothes.can this washing cause infection/blood infection due to  cuts?

Infection.: There always a chance that you could get a local infection about the cut.  Remember, even water coming from the sink is not clean - it contains bacteria.  Put some antibiotic ointment (like Bacitracin, available over the counter) on the cut once daily and cover with bandage until healed.

i having my period now every 3 to 6 months, i'm in perimenopause, this time i'm having very heavy bleeding compared to other periods, how much blood is too much blood. i'm starting to freak out, i'm on my third day and still with heavy flow. is it ok?

: These irregular cycles are usually from failure to release an egg, which otherwise triggers the hormone that leads to menses. In the interim, estrogen is building more tissue in the womb that will eventually break down in a greater volume/duration of menstrual flow. You should be on an iron supplement &amp; if not having symptoms of anemia its likely fine. Please discuss this with your doc.

i had my son 4 months ago and i still as bleeding every other week heavy first 3 days then starts to go away is this normal? i was induced and had severe hemorrageing they had to give me 2 pints of blood the next day and i have a emergancy d n c done

You : You definitely need to alert your doctor regarding this issue. You may need a pelvic ultrasound and/or endometrial biopsy (biopsy of your uterus) to determine the cause of your bleeding.
Are you currently using birth control? If you are on the pill, or ring, this may be causing irregular bleeding.
Lastly, anemia needs to be ruled out.
Regardless you need to see your doctor for evaluation and treatment plan.

GYN: Get a full GYN examination to evaluated bleeding, hormonal levels, thyroid function and pregnancy evaluation. The pain is especially concerning:please get examined ASAP or go to the ER.

Bleeding: Don't be scared. Has it happened with just this cycle or many? If many, then I would see a gynecologist to have hemoglobin checked and there are ways to treat excessive bleeding. I know it is  alarming to see so much blood, but don't panic!

Thyroid problem?: With the weight loss and the change in your periods, you might have a thyroid problem. You will need to be checked for this. Also, stress, either emotional or physical, could cause these changes. I would recommend that you get a good md check up soon.
