Muscle tightness: Your symptoms could be due to muscle spasm from the postion in which you sleep.  Could also be a kidney or bladder issue. That  might change the color or odor of yournurine.  A mattress that is too soft or hard could be the culprit. Do not sleep on your stomach.

Sounds like it: It is very common to strain the muscles of the lower spine and have back pain isolated to one side.  You  can also strain both sides at once.  Rest, ice, Ibuprofen or Aleve (naproxen) can all help as well as stretching exercises like williams low back exercises.

Back sprain: Unless you have a fever and other symptoms that would lead me to think that you have a urine infection then this is likely a simple back sprain, over half of patients never remember doing anything to hurt themselves if the symptoms persist after a few days and are not getting better please see you doctor.
