Yes: Check your vision regularly as the invention of lap tops, smart phones, tablets has caused visual problems. I have the same problem and its corrected by some glasses. Good luck

Need ophthalmology.: A headache with new-onset blurring could be a serious problem, with your eyes or your brain, or might be just a need for glasses and many other possibilities. You need to be examined by an ophthalmologist to find out if the symptoms are serious and vision threatening or not. Concern for acute angle closure glaucoma, allergy, dry eye and many other conditions. Needs an in person examination.

Rest and get exam: Get full exam by a physician to make sure that you do not have a ruptured globe,hyphen, concussion, etc.
A physician will ensure eye movement is intact, look for any corneal abrasion &amp; rule out a tripod fracture as well. A black eye is definitely to expected in a sport like boxing but the risks to your eyes and brain are real and need to be considered when you pursue boxing.

ER, or eye doctor: An ophthalmologist (medical eye doctor) should check now. He has magnifying equipment that gives a good exam of the eyeball and eyelids. The eye doctor can see infection, irritation or inflammation, corneal abrasion, something stuck in the eye, etc... The ER can help if no eye doctor is available right away. In one's 60's, if it is angle-closure glaucoma it is an eye emergency.

: you don’t mention when this occurred, however if you don’t have any discomfort at this time it is highly unlikely you caused any damage to the eye. The surface of the eye, called the cornea is very sensitive to trauma and you would have had pain immediately

i have diagnosed with rheumatoid arthristis and currently on predsinone and plasmoquine.ever since been diagnosed and on this medication i struggle with headaches and red,dry,itchy painful eyes and get blurred vision at times..is this normal?

Call rheuma now: Since Plasmoquine may cause permanent damage to your eyes, you need to stop it right now and contact your rheumatologist for an alternate medication. An eye doctor consult may also be needed.  What you have is not normal.
