Would probably need: an actual consult with a healthcare provider to get a culture for the bacteria (or yeast) that may be causing your infection symptoms.  Cipro is the most common empiric antibiotic given by providers for a simple UTI, but there are many resistant bacteria that will not respond to Cipro.  Bactrim is a competent antibiotic as well, though you need to drink plenty of water and watch for allergic signs

Don't think there is: I don' believe there is an FDA approved combination Cipro/Amox capsule/pill.  I am not sure what the utility of such a combination would be anyway.

Antibiotic cramps: Pain symptoms after antibiotics can be either in the stomach (with nausea, possibly vomiting, and some cramping) or in the colon with more intense cramps, often leading to diarrhea. Cipro (ciprofloxacin) and Flagyl are usually not that hard on the stomach, but they can cause a colitis. If that is what you have, the best course for relief is to stop the antibiotics (depending on what you are taking them for).

Yes: Cipro (ciprofloxacin) and other drugs (levaquin, floxin, others) make up the quinolone class of drugs.  Although generally safe and effective, problems associated with them include tendon rupture and overuse leading to bacterial resistance.  The public needs to have more appreciation of the risks and benefits of antibiotics; resist asking for them when they may not be needed and question doctors about true need.

Maybe: Depending on the culture and what it is actually sensitive to.  That is why some strains are methocillin resistant (mrsa).  Your doctor will prescribe the appropriate medication for you.

Augmentin: Amoxicillin-clavulanate (Augmentin) may be prescribed to treat urinary tract infections. However, are you sure you have a urinary tract infection? Is the organism known?  Please don't taken antibiotics unless directed to do so by a health care provider.

UTI: If you have started cipro (ciprofloxacin) then continue and complete the course. Once on cipro (ciprofloxacin) yield of cultures is low. Most uncomplicated UTI in young women don't need cipro (ciprofloxacin) and other narrow spectrum abx may be a better choice assuming no drug allergies. And cultures may not needed as long as uncomplicated with symptoms and a Positive UA

when can i go back to exercising and stretching once off of cipro? my dr told me to not exercise or stretch so i didn't rupture my tendons. i am almost done with my 2x daily, 5 day prescription and would like to get back to normal?

: A five-day course of cipro rarely causes this side effect so you can get back to your normal activity as you wish. Take care.
