Scrotal Lump in men: This is most likely a cyst, known as a hydrocele or varicocele. These cysts are fluid filled scar tissue that get irritated at times,  especially in men who are aging. The cyst usually resolves on its own without treatment. If the cyst becomes so painful that it is intolerable he needs to be seen by a urologist.

: I hope you got the correct size because a lump of 0.2 cm (2 mm) is not easily palpable. Try not to assess that "lump" frequently, only one a day is fine, if the lesion gets bigger or you have spontaneous pain (unelicited), fever, malaise, etc. then you should see your doctor. Depending : Depending on how long this lump has been present, it could be many things.  Most likely it is a spermatocele or an epididymal cyst, which are benign conditions but may be bothersome enough as to warrant treatment.  All lumps and bumps in the scrotum should be evaluated by your doctor, sometimes by an ultrasound as well, to make sure it isn't something more serious.

There may be a variety of causes including a varicocele (enlarged blood vessel), or a hernia (when part of your internal organs slip into your testicle) but the most dangerous and painful is a Testicular Torsion (where the testicle inside the scrotum twists on itself- This is very dangerous and you could lose the testicle!)
