See the dentist: It is not typical for there to be pain. For this long.  See the dentist who made the crown for you and find out what is going on.  It could be a simple problem to fix, like a bite adjustment , or more complicated.  The only way to know and make it feel better is to see the dentist.

Go see a: Good dentist. Poor dental health can affect you bodies health too. Only a dentist can tell you what teeth should be pulled and which are worth saving. Remember brushing and flossing don't cost much and do make a big difference.

You are going to have to go see a dentist to have this taken care of.

Yes: The pain could be related to gum you chew and to the gums (tissue) in your mouth.  If you have pain from chewing gum, it is possible you may have decay in the tooth, or a loose or missing filling.  Another possible cause of pain from chewing is that the tooth may be loose due to periodontal (gum) disease or an abscessed tooth.

i have a tiny red line on one of my back teeth on the side facing my tongue. i am wondering what it could be. it doesn't hurt or bleed. it's pretty small and doesn't surround the entire tooth. at first glance it looks like the gum line?

You  should check this area once a month and see if it changes in color or size.
Unless it grown in size or becomes black or more brown, you can ignore it as normal(?gum line).

Pain: The best way for you to find out what is causing this pain is by seeing a dentist for an evaluation.  This could be caused by a number of things and needs to be seen visibly and with radiographs to determine the cause of your pain. Don't delay.

Get eval: Could be a number of things. Consider how long it has been there and if it associated with pain. If you have no pain or symptoms you can consider seeing if it goes away within 2 weeks. Otherwise see a dentist to find out. Could be a minor fungal infection, minor trauma, apthous ulcers. Judy depends on what other symptoms you have. Get it looked at either way of it stays longer than 2 weeks.
