i have been feeling the urge to pee constantly with nothing coming out, but never get the feeling until after ive already gone. feeling is like in my clitoral and labia area. had urinalysis done and do not have a uti?

: May be vaginal infection, check for diabetes . May also be overactive bladder or  interstitial cystitis. Rarely MS. F/u/ w/ urogynecologist.

had sex last week & now have uti. bump appeared on labia day after sex. the skin broke & now there are 6+ sores on that side of my labia. uti guilty?

Probably not: A UTI shouldn't cause those sores and they could be from a different infection, possibly a sexually transmitted one.  I suggest being seen to determine the cause.

Finish the Macrobid: Not certain what the bumps are but are unrelated to your UTI. Finish the Macrobid as prescribed and if symptoms persist or get worse call your physician. Most likely a urine culture was done and the majority of UTIs respond to Macrobid but a change in antibiotic may be needed if symptoms persist

UTI: Probably enlarged lymph nodes, but without being able to see these and examine you cannot say with any certainty and the best thing to do is to see your doctor.

i have a uti and got bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) today to treat it but im having pain on a lump on the back of my head. i'm curious to if its a lymph node and if its norm?

Maybe (not) . . .: Urinary tract infections do not cause swollen lymph nodes, especially not so distant as the back of one's head. While this lump could represent a lymph node, it could also be an infected cyst or folliculitis. Since it's painful, please go see your Family Doc for evaluation &amp; appropriate treatment. In the meantime, finish your antibiotics.

Please see your gyn: Today, c ould be uti, could be urethritis could be other vulvar problems , must r/o herpes if sexually active or other like external yeast your gyn will know what to do and the proper tests to run.

Labial swelling: Swelling of the labia is most often caused by sexual activity if it is on both sides, or a vaginal infection, not a "UTI".  A prolonged vaginal infection with bacteria or yeast can cause labial swelling. See your healthcare provider for an exam and evaluation.

can nuvaring cause sensitivity of inner or outer labias? can a uti cause it? got a uti after starting it, so i want to find out which is the culprit.

Difficult to know: Vaginal itching and irritation have been reported, as has vaginal infection as potential side-effects, but this does not exclude other possible sources for this.  Should not be causing uti, but the position of the ring could potentially place pressure on the urethra, causing a transient obstruction, which may lead to secondary uti.  Impossible to tell whether the chicken preceded the egg.  See doc.

my labia minor is swollen on the right side and it's starting to itchy last week i had a uti and i was wondering if that could be the reason for this?

Accepted Answer

You may have: Yeast infection from taking antibiotics or a secondary infection.  Or it could be from swelling and sensitivity from the antibiotic itself. Hopefully ur UTI is better by now.
