A lump : Is not normal, nor is pain so it's a good reason to visit the foot doctor. You may have a ganglionic cyst which is a benign cyst filled with jelly like fluid but without seeing it you can have something else....Go to the doc for a check up.

TRAUMA?: Is it recent? Anything fall on the foot? If firm, maybe a fibroma. See a podiatrist to be sure.

Cysts: Your history suggests that these are cysts, often called ganglion cysts when near tendons and joints. The forehead one may not be the same type. A physical exam and ultrasound can give you more information including the diagnosis and treatment options. Generally speaking, these tend to be benign and non-dangerous. In orthopedics, we often will drain these with the guidance of ultrasound.

See your doctor: You should be seen by a doctor for evaluation and treatment.    That is not normal.    Do you have diabetes?   Numbness anywhere else?

Foot pain: You could have a cyst, called a ganglion cyst, but there are other things that could cause it too...Like arthritis, or a healed fracture, to name a few. You should have this evaluated by your physician, especially if it is getting bigger, who will be able to give you a better idea. It depends on your age, previous injury, your weight, family history, life style and many other factors.

i recently rolled the outside of my right foot, there is a lump on the top of the 5th metatarsal, is this just swelling from rolling my foot?

Better get an X-ray: The bone could be broken.  Your description sounds like a perfect indication for an x-ray evaluation.
