hi, i'm 18 years old and i got my period 3 times this month. that has never happened to me. is something wrong with me?

Your hormones are in: .. flux for some reason.  Irregular periods and spotting could mean you may have some hormonal imbalance that could be affected by many different factors, including age (if approaching menopause?), nutrition, illness, exercise (or lack of it), body girth, psychological well-being, stress, season, or simple fluctuations of other related hormones (thyroid for example).  U should see a GYN.

No: your frequent periods are coming from ovarian failure and onset of menopause. Very common. Some women cycles space further apart, others it can become more frequent early on. One-time symptoms?: A doctor can check to see if there is a medical issue, if a woman has mild menstrual-related symptoms. Many women have some variation of their periods or a missed period on occasion (maybe due to hormone fluctuations). Some women feel fine after a few days, but others do have bothersome symptoms and follow-up with their doctors. A pregnancy test is accurate if done correctly 3 weeks after sex.

Irregular periods.: Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections ;  hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do  a home pregnancy test .  There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.

Perhaps it is the: Plan B because morning after pills use an absurd amount of synthetic hormones and chemicals to knock your uterus into not getting pregnant.  You will continue to have irregular spotting for the next few weeks while your cycle tries to reset itself.  It is generally safer to stick with traditional contraceptive methods to keep your cycle regular and predictable.

i changed my regular tampon three times in a day as it was full. it was the first day of my period this month. is that considered heavy?

Probably not: Sounds more like normal flow. Heavy flow will usually require more than 3 changes and may be associated with passing clots. Be sure to schedule routine GYN check and discuss any further concerns you may have.

Vaginal bleeding: "Don't know what to do"? It's easy: see a doctor ASAP! All unexplained vaginal bleeding needs professional exam and testing. At your age, an STD like gonorrhea or chlamydia is a good bet. Also I wonder if you're pregnant; or maybe just breakthrough bleeding if you're on hormonal contraception.
