i'm mildly nearsighted (less than -1.00) and i get frequent headaches whilst studying. should i wear my glasses despite them being for distance?

Approach: You may need reading glasses, or prismatic lenses.  See eye specialist and get this addressed.  If not the answer, ask about possible tension headaches or even migraine.

Wrong Rx?: There is no way to answer this without measuring the glasses and your prescription. The prescription could be wrong, you may not be used to it, the lens may be off center. There are many options. See your eye doctor.

i have been having headaches from 2005 if not earlier, i was advised to wear glasses & since then i have been wearing them but still getting headaches, been to different gps where i am told its stress and i get meds for them but they not helping.

i have myopia i realized that when i wear glasses at evening(night) get headache.i dont have pain when wearin at afternoon why do this happen ?

Check again: Get another exam and be sure to tell the doctor your problem. The glasses need to be changed a little. During the day, a smaller pupil blocks rays of light that need to be bent more. That allows you to get by with a prescription that is not perfect. With a larger pupil in dim light, more rays of light enter. The imperfection in the Rx becomes more noticeable.

There : There may be a problem with your eyeglasses, e.g., the optical centers of the lenses may not match your pupil location, or the eyeglasses may no longer be the correct prescription.  A comprehensive eye examination by your ophthalmologist would be the best way to determine the cause of the headaches.

Astigmatism : Astigmatism means your cornea is shaped more like a football cut in half rather than a basketball cut in half as in those without astigmatism.

If you are not having symptoms of headaches when you don't wear glasses, it's unlikely that the astigmatism is bothering you.

There is no good long term data indicating that not wearing glasses to correct a minor astigmatism will damage your eyes in the future.

If you start having any vision problems, you should definitely see an eye care specialist.

No: If you are seeing well with what I assume is a very mild lens prescription, then feel free to wear the  glasses. If you see better without, you may be adjusting and simply experiencing muscle related eye strain.

Sinus infection?: Have you been examined and evaluated for a sinus infection? This could certainly be a cause constant sinus headaches. You might also start keeping a headache log, including the timing, location and severity of your headaches along with what you were doing, eating, drinking right before and what you did to help it. This will help your doc figure out your headaches when you see them.

is it normal for a person to get sinus headaches after concussion?

TMD: There are over 300 different kinds of headaches, and treatment depends on symptoms  it can range from a bite guard to different medicines.
  A headache specialist, or dentist who treats headaches may be able to help, or write back with more symptoms.
You may also want to check with your physician to make sure these aren't still concussion related.
