See your doctor: When it comes to pain in the right mid-abdomen, the possibilities are many.  From a GI perspective, considerations include: stomach (gastritis, ulcer), biliary disease (residual stone, sphincter of oddi synd), pancreatitis, colitis, abdominal adhesions, musculoskeletal pain.  Just to name a few.  Recommend you see you doctor to initiate a work up.

Biliary pain: Your description of your pain could be from your gallstones/biliary colic but also from other causes that should be mentioned to your medical team. Stones can block your pancreatic duct too and cause significant pain as can ulcers and right sided colon constipation.

my girlfriend just had her gallbladder removed last thursday.  last night she noticed a hard lump on the right side of her abdomen.

Follow-up: Have her see the surgeon in a follow-up post surgical evaluation.  It may be simple scarring at the site, etc. depending on if her Removal was open or laparascopically etc.  It is important for the surgeon to follow-up at the least 1 week after the surgery anyway.  best wishes.

Gallbladder surgery: It's common to have pain even months after where you had surgery. This could be from the scar or muscles underneath that were cut into. Nevertheless, you should get a followup to make sure there's nothing else going on inside.

Ruq pain: You have many different gastrointestinal issues.  has your gall bladder been checked? Are you taking ulcer medicine?  It sounds like you have to see your gastroenterologist again.

had gallbladder removed 3 weeks ago. i am having burning sharp pains in the right side of my abdomen. ct scan showed stranding and edema and fluid throughout the gallbladder fossa. hida scan showed no definite extravasation. any idea of the problem?

Biliary colic: Even though gall bladder removed, you can still get bile sludge or gall stones which can cause your symptoms or even pancreatitis.  See a doctor as soon as possible.
