Tension: Most if not all of your symptoms can be attributed to tension. See your physician who can arrange for antianxiety therapy and counseling.

Unknown: A pregnancy test is needed to determine if a pregnancy is even present.  It was also not specified how "late" you are.  These types of symptoms can be caused by hormonal changes.  A twin pregnancy is currently diagnosed by ultrasound, so this would need to be performed, if pregnant, to determine a twin pregnancy.  Please follow-up with your md.

Many causes: This is a symptom that can be related to many conditions.  The most serious of which could be cardiac in origin.  If you have a cardiac history or if these symptoms persist please go to the nearest emergency department or call 911.

These symptoms you describe can be related to gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, or even related to anxiety, etc.

Genetics: This is a complex question.  No doubt genetics plays a major role in this.  Your sex is a variable (men tend to gain around the center, women hips/thighs). Other variables include the amount of carbohydrates in your diet, alcohol/sugar intake, and exercise regularity.

Eat healthy: One ofthe keys to losing weight and keeping it off is to do it in a thoughtful and meaningful way. This includes having the right perspective on food, exercise, sleep, and stress. For food, eat mostly a plant based diet with lots of vegetables, fruits, nuts, beans, seeds, and whole graims and for protein eat wild fish like salmon every other day. Avoid processed foods. Exercise up to 45 minutes.

Avoid simple carbs: The propensity towards stomach fat is inherited.  To keep stomach fat down you need to keep your overall weight down.  There is no way to reduce stomach fat without weight loss. However women who eat more simple carbs such as sugar, white flour, white rice, and pasta are more likely to put fat into the belly. Eat more whole grains with lots of fiber.

Genes, diet, other: Is it fat or something else, e.g. Fluid, mass/tumor? If it's fat, genetics plays a role. Some women put fat on thighs and butt (better re: cardiac risks); some put it on abd-genetic and hormonal factors.  Diet clearly a role: excess calories, maybe xs simple sugars, alcohol, inadequate protein, iron. May also be appearances due to poor muscle tone in abdominal wall.  See doc, eat less, move more.
