Avoid simple carbs: The propensity towards stomach fat is inherited. To keep stomach fat down you need to keep your overall weight down. There is no way to reduce stomach fat without weight loss. However women who eat more simple carbs such as sugar, white flour, white rice, and pasta are more likely to put fat into the belly. Eat more whole grains with lots of fiber.

Women, on the other hand, store much of this excess fat under the skin of the abdomen. At some point, the excess skin and fat will start to droop or sag, creating a fold. It's important to keep the area behind this fold clean and dry.
