: I would expect 10-14 days to be the norm but the area is prone to local stressors. I might remove every other stitch at the beginning of removal and wait a day or two before removing the rest.

Pressure: Anytime there is a cut and there's bleeding, you'll want to put continuous pressure with a clean towel, etc.   If it's on your hand, we worry about tendons being involved, so if there is any difficulty moving your fingers or weakness if your fingers, it's even more important to see your doc.  At your doctor visit, ask about a tetanus shot if you haven't had one in the past 5-10 years. Good luck!

Possibly: If there is no redness, pain, or swelling at the fracture site, the bone most probably healed without problems. However, if there is loss of function or any of the above symptoms/signs, a doc can evaluate, decide whether an x-ray is warranted, and whether further treatment is necessary or possible.
