when i wear a belt, the skin that the metal part touches turns red and itchy. i haven't worn a belt in days, but the itching is getting worse. ?

Contact Dermatitis: You may have contact dermatitis, you are having an allergic reaction to the metal from your belt, this can be common. In mild to moderate cases, self-care measures, such as using over-the-counter creams containing Hydrocortisone or applying wet dressings, can help relieve redness and itching. Your doctor may prescribe a higher-strength cream or even oral medicines. I hope this helped :].

hi doc.im an 18 yr old teenager..never had intercourse before.recently i've had itchiness in the upmost part of my private area(when touched) n also a pricky fel.n a lot of discharge from that area.im worried.pls help?

Examination: Since you are not sexually active a vaginal yeast infection is the most likely cause. Over the counter creams are available. If this does not improve the problem then it is important to see an obgyn for an examination. Then a diagnosis can be made and treatment prescribed.

the outside of my vagina and part of my butt is burning and itchy. there aren't any rashes from what i can see but its annoying. it doesn't hurt to use the bathroom its just very itchy and im afraid to touch. any idea what this could be? thx for help?

: It could be early symptoms of contact dermatitis. Have you used a new underwear or soap? If yes, it is the culprit. You can buy the lidocain 4% ointment or cream (OTC) at drug stores like CVS. You can use the cream on the itching part when figuring what you are allergic to.

hi, i just wanna ask about any cream that can use for my vagina because of itchiness? :( when i touch it, i feel rashes on the lips and clit part, i believe this is because of liners and napkins. thank you for the help doc!

Diagnosis: Vaginal itching without discharge can indicate infections like yeast or herpes. It can indicate an allergic reaction to household products like certain soaps and laundry detergents. There are also some skin conditions liked lichen sclerosis which can cause vaginal itching. Prevaleaf Soothe is my favorite over the counter treatment for patients to try. An exam is needed to make a diagnosis

Rash vs. no rash...: If a rash, they are hard to describe in words. A primary care doctor or dermatology doctor can look at a genitals rash in order to tell what it is. If it is eczema, hydrocortisone cream helps. If fungal, an antifungal cream helps. If bacterial, antibiotic pills or cream is needed. If viral or some other infection, other treatments can help. In-person exam is best but video exam sometimes works.

Itch: It could be anxiety. It could be scabies to just allergic reaction to a perfume or a  hand cream they were using. If it persists may use OTC Hydrocortisone cream 2 x a  day for 1 week

Topical hydrocort: Apply topical hydrocortisone cream 2x daily for a few days, if the problem returns after stopping the cream, check with your doctor.   I am assuming that you do not have a metallic belly button ring which may also cause problem if you are allergic to metal.

Anti-itch remedies: Moisturize with a non-perfumed product-good examples are cetaphil, vaseline, lubriderm. Shower with lukewarm water. Avoid allergens from clothing/foods/cosmetics/laundry products. Topically, use 1% Hydrocortisone ointment and orally use 25 mg Benadryl (diphenhydramine) at bedtime. If symptoms do not resolve, then you may need prescription topical meds and your physician needs to rule out other underlying disorders.

i was at the waterpark with my friends yesterday, once i got home, a part of my back started getting really itchy & still is. what can i do about it?

Topical hydrocortiso: Try some topical hydrocortisone cream. If this failed , see your doctor.
