i am a bartender and my finge tips have completly turned it to cracked very dry skin and deformed my finger nails ...is this bar rott ? what can i do

Irritation: I doubt this is infectious or anything actually rotting, although i enjoy the term.  It may be an allergy to something you are coming into contact with or more likely just irritation and friction from the work you do.  Common in many occupations where hands are used in repetitive movements from friction causing thick, cracked skin. Try aquaphor or cetaphil  hand cream with cotton gloves 2x daily.

i got a splinter under my fingernail from a thorn i could never get out. i have tough dry skin forming there now under nail and at end of finger? fix?

See dr.: Foreign bodies should be removed when able, as they can lead to infection. Irritation, inflammation, and pain.  See a dr. To have the area examined and treated.  Best wishes.

what to do for bad dry skin on hands and feet? every so often they get so bad i get deep cuts. on hands its only the middle fingers and thumbs. on my feet it's only the big toes that dry out and crack. it hurts bad to walk. what should i do?

: See a Dr and find out what is going on. Fungus? Do you wear rubber gloves and boots at work?   Are your hands wet most of day at work. Do you your feet sweat a lot?  Keep notes and see your Dr.

: Eczema is not caused by type of skin but dry skin can facilitate entry of trigger factor much easily, also eczema causes dry, chafed skin hence many people associate dry skin with eczema. Genetic predisposition and presence of triggering factors like nickel metal, soaps, thickening material used in shampoo, cleaning solution, neomycin, bacttoban , can cause eczema. Hope it helps.

Wrinkly palms.: Some possibilities are excess exposure to water, some antibiotics, or genetic. Recommend consultation with the Pediatrician.

: Eczema or Dermatitis on the hands is very common and not necessarily related to dry or oily skin but often triggered by use of hands, over-washing etc.  plus  contact with certain chemicals

Hand dermatitits: You might be over washing. Use a non soap cleanser such as cerave cleanser. Use a thick cream to moisturize not a lotion. You might also try an otc mild topical steroid. If no better see your dermatologist.

Itchy: Two choices:
1: Go to the nearest Pharmacy and they are very likely to recommend some cream or similar. Cost is low.
2: If you don't like that idea please go to the nearest Emergency facility. Not my first choice.

: No, as no direct contact with fresh blood with active, bleeding wounds on your hands can be established. Check cdc.gov to clarify Hep B transmission. Hands hygiene remains critical otherwise in avoiding other pathogens transmission, including Hep A.
