Accepted Answer

Normal: Inverted nipples are not uncommon, even once through puberty!  Just ask any lactation consultant!  If you feel lumps, see discharge, or see other abnormalities, bring them to the attention of your pediatrician.

i am 20yrs old female. i have a compressible axillary lump since 1 year, sometimes i have nipple inversion also. no family history of breast cancer?

A picture's worth...: 1-nipple inversion assc w/cancer is usually permanent, such that the nipple cannot be everted w/o difficulty. If it is everted some days, inverted others, it is usually not concerning. 2-a compressible mass in the axilla is usually a lipoma or ectopic axillary breast tissue. However... An exam is necessary to be certain. Best to see a doctor.

hi doctors. i am a 62 year-old male. i feel a very intermittent not large lump near only my left nipple that is intermittently tender. if the diagnosis of male breast cancer were to be confirmed, do i lose my entire left breast? is it totally cut out?

: Please get your lump evaluated in person. It  may or may not be a tumor. It may be benign.  The doctor will determine if you require a biopsy.  There are many types of breast cancer and the treatment would be determined by the type of tumor, its grade and stage and whether it is hormone receptor positive or has molecular alterations amenable to current therapies. Your description .

Watch and wait: Breast cancer is unlikely. You may watch and wait. If the lump more than doubles in size, ulcerates, bleeds, becomes fixed or painful, see a doctor.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

26 years old. clear sticky single duct nipple discharge when expressing the nipple. small amount maybe a drop or two. texture of discharge is sticky. is it likely breast cancer? so worried & anxious. had breast exam in may & obgyn said no lumps felt?

: Stop milk you nipple for the discharge, just neglect it until the next period. The stimulation of the nipple may perpetuate the discharge. You can observe your cloth or brass to see if the discharge persists til next month. If it does, you should see your GYN doctor then.

: Because the discharge is unilateral and persisted for months, you should see your doctor again.

We just visited : If your nipple got really purple, I will bet it is scar. Or it may well be gynecomsstia. Your cancer risk is near zero, and if this is cancer, it will enlarge or ulcerated. Show your physician on your next office visit or if you want it removed.

Breast abscess: You need to see your doctor. It seems that you might developed an abscess and need drained and antibiotics prescribed. Forget mammogram for now, it's not going to do you any good.

Possibly: There are some breast lumps that may be benign and some may be malignant. If this is a new mass, i would suggest seeing your doctor for further evaluation.
