Yes: green discharge is definitely not normal.you have an infection,you need the wound cleaned,cultured,and start you on antibiotics,your GYN must have somebody covering,if not go to the ER.

On call doc: Almost all of us doing OB and GYN have other physicians covering us when we are on vacation.  Call your GYN's office first and tell them your incision is likely infected and you would like to get in touch with your GYN's covering doctor.  If that doesn't work then please go to the ER as a last resort.  The on call doctor will appreciate you not waiting until late today or in the middle of night.

Infection: If the incision is red (especially redness extending out from the incision) swollen, or draining i would suspect infection. Of course elevated temperature and increasing pain are also worrisome signs.

Should be fine: But do not know if you are experiencing any symptoms.  If you develop pain, fever, discharge, nausea and vomiting or other symptoms, call and speak with the gynecologist who did the hysterectomy.  If not, you should be ok.

i had a hysterectomy on september 19. after 6 weeks my incision is bleeding slightly but there is no gaps anywhere.  what can be the problem?

Scar/friction bleedi: Although the surgical wound should be healed by now the area remains tender and prone to bleeding if there is any rubbing or friction against the incision. If there is no gaping wound, then it will heal itself. just keep it clean and place a band-aid or a small amount of antibiotic cream in the raw area.
If bleeding continues go back to the surgeon who operated on you.

See your surgeon: It sounds like you need to make an appointment with your surgeon to be evaluated for your symptoms and especially your wounds.

Yes: A hysterectomy does not protect you against yeast infections.  Risk factors are antibiotic use, diabetes, and wearing tight clothes with poor ventilation.

Infection better?: My first question is whether or not your infection has gone away completely. Not being able to keep food down may be a sign of continuing infection. Unsure: Depending on how your surgery was done, you could expect to have some pain for up to 4 or 6 months.  The only way to get a really good idea of the cause for your pain would be to have a exam. You could call the surgeon who did your surgery.

Seek medical attenti: May be an abscess from surgical site. Would seek additional medical evaluation.
