Neurologic/Vascular: several things can cause your symptoms, Migraine headache, Mild TIA (transient Ischemic Attack) or stroke (Cerebral vascular accident) Hi cholesterol with plaques in blood vessels. Other things can be demyelinating disorders like MS. Multiple Sclerosis.Car accidents with pinched nerves in spine can cause these symptoms,if you are having recurrences you need to see  neurologist or Ophthalmologist

: Not feasible to be precise with the limited information presented, but anatomically, the right-sided brain lesions might explain left-sided signs.  The complexities need underlying answers, and a progressive process needs to be ruled out.  See an academic neurologist at a nearby medical school and tie all of this together.

Probably not: Levothyroxin is used to treat an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism). If you do not have that condition, the added thyroid medicine can possibly make blood pressure higher. See your fp to discuss whether your thyroid activity is normal, whether any BP med might be causing the swelling, alternatives to eliminating hand/foot swelling.

I don't think so ...: Usually, swelling of the hands &amp; feet is caused by benign fluid retention: idiopathic edema. If it were accompanied by breathlessness one would have to suspect your heart, but high blood pressure by itself shouldn't cause this. Fatigue, pale skin &amp; weakness are the most common symptoms of iron deficiency. I think you have issues that are unrelated. But a good review of all by your doc is needed:)

Swelling hands-feet: There are many possibilities.  Swelling may be related to sleep apnea, heart problems, kidney problems or to menopausal hormone problems.  You need to make an appointment for a check up with your doctor to sort this out and help you.

Probably not: But depending on how high, you could be having a stroke.  See a doctor now for accurate blood pressure and other tests to see if there are other causes for your symptoms.

A : A few things could be causing this:
1. Water retention due to congestive heart failure. Fluids may be getting backed up in the body system if your heart is not efficient. This can cause swelling in the body.
2. Blood clot in the leg: if you are generally inactive, blood may be pooling in your legs. This, along with your medical history of high cholestrol and diabetes make you at high risk for a DVT (deep vein thrombosis) or blot clot in the leg. Initially, swelling may occur, followed by pain, cramping and poor circulation.
3. Peripheral vascular disease can be a residual condition of your comorbidities. This would be related to poor circulation/poor blood supply to the leg. 
4. Kidney failure: if your kidneys are not filtering fluids efficiently, fluids can be backed up into your body system, causing swelling.

Each of your existing medical conditions are precursors to the above possible causes of lower leg swelling. It is crucial you see a doctor to investigate which is the causing factor. See a doctor as soon as you can. If the pain becomes intolerable, go to the emergency room. You may have a clot that is blocking fresh, healthy blood supply to the legs.

would you think that one with hypertension (non-medicated) would tend to have a faster heart rate? would this go hand-in-hand in most cases?

Blood pressure: The level of BP need not correlate with heart rate and in fact in most circumstances the heart rate will be normal.
