Yes: Hypothyroidism is low production of thyroid hormone by the thyroid gland.  Hyperparathyroidism is overproduction of PTH by parathyroid glands.  Although the parathyroid glands are next to the thyroid, they are completely unrelated glands, and can cause problems seperately or together.  Hypothyroidism is fairly common, so is primary hyperparathyroidism in women, so you could easily have both.

Yes: The thyroid and parathryroids are 2 separate glands and have separate functions. There are some very rare conditions where you can have hypothyroidism and hyperparathryroidism, but most likely these are two separate things. If you are having these conditions I would suggest you see an endocrinologist so further studies can be done.

i don't urinate at work and have gone as long as 8hrs. just don't need to. would this relate to hyperparathyroidism and hypothyroid?

Measure intake first: The most likely explanation is lack of adequate intake of fluids during those hours. You should measure your fluid intake for 24 hours and if it's less than 2 quarts or less than 8 glasses(8 ounce glass) you are drinking less than recommended per day. Of course if you lose water perspiring, etc you may need more. You also ingest fluids when you eat fruits. If your fluid intake is normal get tested.

Uncertain: Hypothyroidism and hyperparathyroidism are two completely different disorders and generally are not connected to each other.  You are on a very small dose of levothyroxine.  If your thyroid levels are normal, your symptoms are likely unrelated.  Hyperparathyroidism can cause fatigue, but treating it will not change your metabolism.  Nevertheless, it should be treated surgically in your age group.

It should not: Interfere with either of those conditions. Have serious doubts about the claims of its potential for weight loss too!

MVP Hypothyrodism: Not commonly, but the prevalence of mitral valve prolapse (mvp) is substantially greater in patients with autoimmune thyroid disorders such as graves' disease and hashimoto's thyroiditis. So it's not just hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid gland is quite common, especially in individuals over 50, and is usually not associated with mvp.

with hypothyroidism & the tremors with that. is it normal with the feeling of hard & shake breathing? feels like i breath togheter/with the tremors.

If you thyroid: level is normal, it's not your thyroid that's causing your problems. Check w/your doctor re: other possible causes.

i'm allergic to iodine. i am hashi hypothyroid. can only take brand synthroid (thyroxine) & cytomel. but when taken together i have a severe allergic reaction.

Check w/Pharmacist: If you mean taking the two pills at the same time causes a reaction, but taking either one by itself does not, then you could try taking them several hours apart (like one w/bkfst and other w/dinner). If that fails, will need to talk to endocrinologist to see if can manage on one agent.
