OK: It is ok, but it might not be completely effective.  Hydroxyzine and Ativan (lorazepam) work through different mechanisms of action.  Hydroxyzine is a potent antihistamine, which leads to sedation and decreased anxiety.  Ativan (lorazepam) works through the GABA system (more like alcohol).  Withdrawal from Ativan (lorazepam) will be mitigated to some extent, but not completely by using hydroxyzine.  In time, should be ok.

why do i get nauseas when i stop taking hydroxyzine; is it a withdrawal symptom?

Atarax (hydroxyzine): Is antihistamine used for anxiety and sometimes to calm irritable bowels. When stop regular use, stomach can be more active and nausea results.

Not really: You can skip the hydroxyzine. You are more than likely to experience excessive drowsiness.

Hydroxyzine does not: cause withdrawal. This may be psychologic in origin. Go back on the hydroxyzine and see if your symptoms stop. What kind of symptoms are you having with this feeling of withdrawal?

Unlikely: Be you are taking it to control a condition or induce sleep, the problem may return after stopping the drug.

Talk to your doctor : You need close medical supervision if on this combination of medication. Sedation and respiratory suppression are the main concerns. Don't do it alone. Seek medically supervised detox.

Not expected: Hydroxyzine when used as an antihistamine or even a sleeping aid does not require tapering.  However if you were using it to control anxiety, then a tapering may be required. In large doses, it may slow down your bm and thus it may be the issue for you. Nonetheless your symptoms are unusual and the stomach symptoms may just be coincidental. See doctor if symptoms go beyond a few days or worsen .

due to antipsychotics withdrawal i can't sleep. if take hydroxyzine benadryl & trazodone temporarily will my sleep patterns return & need no more meds?

That's too much. : I wouldn't think it prudent to pummel yourself to sleep with all of that.  If anything, maybe just 25mg of Benadryl nightly. Although it would be better in the long run if you didn't take anything - would be a lousy few days but in the end your sleep would be more natural and spontaneous.
