Try again please: hydromorphone is dilaudid but never heard of hydromorphone contin unless that is Exalgo (long acting diluadid).  It would show up as hydromorphone n a urine test and/or hydrocodone.

Very unlikely: If she is in addisonian crisis, this alone would explain the pain and kidney problems.  This is a very serious condition, and needs close medical monitoring. Decreasing oral steroids too quickly can also cause similar complaints. I think the primary concern should be evaluating her hormonal status, which will help resolve her pain. Keep in touch with her doctor weekly, if not more. Good luck!

Crushes beads: Firstly one should not be tampering with medication designed for oral use. The worse that can happen is an anaphylactic reaction to some component of the bead structure. There is also the possibility of overdose as well if you survive the anaphylactic reaction.

Drug screen: Drug screen can stay positive up to 6 weeks with hydromorphone.

Drug test: First, it depends on what they are testing for.  Not all opiates (hydromorphone is a synthetic opiate) will show up.  Also if you have legitimate prescription for the drug it does not matter if it shows up in test.  When the MRO (the doctor who reviews your test) calls you to discuss, you let them know you have prescription for the med. Mg totals do not show up in any drug test.

NO: The tests do not distinguish the day you took medication or the amount on the day.

Sorta...: of course it depends somewhat on the amount of methadone. If you didn't tell them what medications you are taking they won't make correct decisions.
The lowest dose of methadone is less than frequently taking 2 mg dilaudid, BUT average methadone maintence for narcotic addiction is much MORE than 2 mg dilaudid.
