: It would be wise for a patient to have an anal HPV test especially if practicing anal intercourse, have HIV or are immune compromised. Regular anal "pap" smears can be done at the same time as vaginal pap smears. Oral testing does not become positive unless there is a lesion already, so no need to do oral HPV tesing, best to just examine for lesions in the oral area.

Word games: Such a test shows whether the DNA signature of the virus is present, not its status. The HPV virus is a DNA virus that have the ability to go dormant in cells beyond those removed in any biopsy. Changes in the cells can occur years or decades after primary HPV infection. Removing abnormal cells prevents their later conversion, but does not eliminate need for future surveillance through testing.

Yes,: as well as recurrence of the original strain. No treatment gets rid of the virus completely. Cone biopsy strives to remove/reset the cells affected. But recurrence can be in the new cells. Vaccine and immune system improvements can help, but the virus is never fully gone.

: In the U.S. we follow the ASCCP Cervical cancer screening guidelines. The current risk for cancer takes into account your age, the cytology (cells from pap smear or colposcopy) and HPV test results (high risk strains). The future risk takes into account just the HPV. It is possible for abnormal cells and HPV to return even after loop. Continue to see gynecology at least annually to monitor changes

So, follow the current advice to do PAP smear more vigilant after knowing HPV contact or infection as lifelong care

Possibly yes: Even people who get all three shots of the vaccine within one year will still get hpv infections.  The thought is that the vaccine will you clear the infection faster than non-vaccinated people, thus reducing your risk of cervical cancer.

Yes and no: There are some safeguards in the procedure. A pap smear should never be reported out unless the smear is first an adequate specimen ( has the right kind of cervical cells on the slide) as judged by the person reviewing the slide.If adequate, and no abnormal cells are seen, it would be reported as negative.Can errors be made ?, yes.
