Pregnant: It seems you are pregnant. You may want to see a gynecologist to have a transvaginal ultrasound ordered to determine, whether the pregnancy is inside or outside the uterus, how many embryos there are, and if they have a heartbeat.

i am having multiple pregnancy symptoms but had four negative hpt. why else would i be getting these symptoms?

Hormones: If your own hormones are higher than usual (usually due to normal fluctuations) you can experience breast tenderness and bloating. As long as your period comes at its normal  time unlikely you are pregnant.

my period is about 4 days late, which is very unusual for me. though my cycle only last three to four day's, do i need to wait before taking a hpt?

Accepted Answer

Depends: If you had sex since your last period, do a home pregnancy test. If the result is negative repeat the test 4-5 days later unless you get a period by then. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully.
If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD. 
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

had unprotected sex within 40 days of recovery after givin birth. four negative hpt. possibility to still be pregnant? when to test again?

Accepted Answer

Not pregnant, unless: Unless a woman is continuing to have unprotected sex, then she is not pregnant after getting 4 negative pregnancy tests (if the tests were done correctly and done 2-3 weeks after sex). If she continues unprotected sex, and cannot tell if she is pregnant, she can do a pregnancy test every 3-4 weeks (but doesn't need to if her regular periods come). If not wanting pregnancy, just use contraception.

HCG: Unusual to have the negative test. However, if you were early in pregnancy and sounds like your were it can be that your HCG was low enough to be gone by the time tested. Other possibilities are false positive with intial test or false negative with the second test.

i'm 31 days late and have four negative hpt's. i have all pregnancy symptoms see my doc tomorrow. if i'm not pregnant what could it be?

Anovulation: It most likely sounds like anovulation, where your ovary fails to release an egg.  This causes transient hormonal changes.  If you're late by a week, perform a home pregnancy test.

Trust the test: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. They are the same tests used in a doctors office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period.  If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection.

i had a baby 4weeks ago. i had intercourse w/o protection 2weeks after.took a hpt and came up positive. are my hcg levels atill high four weeks after?

Yes : At several weeks after delivery your blood pregnancy hormone levels are still up so a pregnancy test will be positive. The earliest time you could get pregnant after having a baby is at 4 weeks and the soonest a pregnancy test would be positive is 2 weeks later at 6 weeks. Please use some type of birth control!  two babies less than a year apart would be very hard!

May be too early: Wait another week and repeat, use a first morning urine as it is usually more concentrated.
