Adjunct treatment: Tea tree oil contains estrogens and may help; it's also caused guys like you to grow breasts. Preventing / managing acne usually requires some experimenting, and I'm going to assume you're already using topical retinoic acid and/or benzoyl peroxide. If this isn't sufficient, your physician can add prescription-strength Rx. Acne's not curable but can be managed until it remits on its own. Cheers.

It's your call: And not your best choice. It's an estrogen, and if you're a man, you're at risk for getting breast development. Use it as an adjunct. Your best friend is either a salicylic acid wash or topical benzoyl peroxide. They are less pleasant but more likely to work. If you're not clear in two weeks, get with your physician. Best wishes.

Good luck: I don't think its very reliable, woudn't expect it to work for anything but very mild acne, and lately i've been seeing lots of people that have become allergic to it.

If you don't need anything strong, it might be worth a try.

Adjunct: It's a moderately strong estrogen which is probably how it exerts its effects. Some young men get breasts from using it. There are much more effective ways of treating acne (benzoyl peroxide, physician-prescribed meds), and if somebody is preventing you from getting effective treatment because of a superstitious preference for "natural healing", you have my sympathy. Can work: Tea tree oil has some antiseptic properties and some studies have shown efficacy for treatment of acne. It's probably safest to use as a spot treatment. Some people can develop an allergic contact dermatitis to tea tree oil known as melaleuca oil dermatitis, so be careful. Consulting a dermatologist for acne treatment and management is recommended.
