Not your ear: The sound is not likely coming from the ear itself, or a muscle at all. More likely a ligament or bone in your upper neck is the source. You would be wise to start off with a visit to,your family doctor, especially if he/she is a DO. In  any case, a physiatrist may be able to help you sort this out. Good luck!

Falling or thinning : Nutritiona deficiency, hypothyroidism using harsh shampoos or hair car products are some common cause. Also, some mediciations can make you lose hair. Any stressors can make u lose hair. Removing or treating the cause is the best answer. Hard water cna make you loose hair as well. Biotin whcih is availabel over the counter soemtiems helps. Talk to your doctor though for finding the root cause.
