what would cause a lower back to be painful. i can't even stretch. what can i do to help it?

See details: At age 17 the can be several possible causes including a condition known as spondylitis, congenital problems or just a strain. Have the issue evaluated. Sometimes abdominal issues can also cause back pain.

while stretching i heard a pop in my lower back. i have no pain. it has happened the last 2 times that i stretched. should i be concerned? i have 2 discs that are bad in my middle back.

No real concern: In general if you have no pain or loss of function or sensation you should be fine. Be careful however as sometimes symptoms of injury to the back and  related areas can take weeks to months or even longer to show up.

Skin tears: Stretch marks are tears in the skin cause by weight gain. They can be covered up, but not improved by creams and lotions. The only possibly effective therapy is cosmetic plastic surgery, but that's a big step for a non-health and non-life threatening problem.

Williams: Look up williams flexion exercises including pelvic tilt, knee to chest, pelvic rotation exercises to help your back.
Use hot packs, hot tub or low back massage.
Use balms such as ben gay and be gentle with all you do.
Walking is great to relax the back as well.

You have options: You see these mostly in tall guys in their rapid growth spurts. They&#x27;ll be red at first and then fade some. A dermatologist with a laser can make them fainter but I suggest that you consider keeping them for now -- somebody special in your future may like them, and tall is fun. You have complete control over your physical fitness, the best gift you can give yourself. PhotoGuy isn&#x27;t complaining.

LBP: Left lower back pain in 27 y is most likely  muscle & ligament strain. Herniated disc, ankylosing spondylitis , and kidney stone can be the possibilities. Please see your doctor for good history and thorough physical exam and some diagnostic tests. You are already on movalis  which is anti-inflammatory medication.  Continue it. Back pain: you need to follow up with ortho doctor to rule out spondylolisthesis (slipped vertebra), etc.  Likely all you'll need is some physical therapy and NSAIDS and some activity restrictions if xray normal

The ones done : Regularly.  There is no one best regimen but exercise is good for your back includuping stretching such as through yoga along with core stabilization and cardiovacular routines.  Lifestyle changes like a good night's sleep, avoiding tobacco and staying trim help as well.

It depends: It depends on a few factors.  You need to know whether the trend of your pain is getting better or worse, whether stretching alleviates or worsens the pain, and whether strengthening alleviates or worsens the pain. 
The exercise program chosen and monitored should be individualized to your specific needs  during each phase of your injury.  See a spine doc if it still persists for a few weeks.

i have been having stiff lower back? after sitting it feels like tin man until i do some stretches. it does not severely pain. any advise?

Inflammatory pain!: You may have several different problems, but i suspect inflammation, whose hallmark is pain worsening with immobility and improving with movement. Stiffness as well: the 'gel' phenomena in arthritis!
