Natural Process: When there is injury to our skin, inflammation occurs which means the area becomes red, warm, tender and with swelling.  The swelling occurs under the skin layers and then can leak out of an open wound.  The fluid contains water, protein, electrolytes and cells that give it color.  This is a natural process and aids in healing.  As it heals, the drainage will decrease.  Keep it covered.

Varies: It usually depends on the size of the wound.  Larger wounds will take more time to heal.  Also, everybody heals at different rates.  Younger healthy people tend to heal faster than older weaker people.  As long as the weeping is just clear fluid.  If it is thick and pustular and the wound looks red, it may be infected and will not stop weeping until treated.

Talk to your surgeon: There are many reasons for a surgical wound to continue to weep or drain fluid.  First- is the wound closed completely (primarily) or was it intentionally left open?  If left open- drainage at be normal.  If it was closed together after surgery- continual drainage is abnormal. This is possibly an infection.  Discuss the situation with your surgeon.

Weeping wound: You can stop the weeping by covering it up. The best cover would be a vaseline gauze right on top of the surface of the wound with 2-3 sterile gauze squares piled loosely on top to soak up any fluid that gets through the vaseline cause. Then cover the whole bandage with either tape or an ace wrap. Change the dressing every 24-72 hours depending on how much drainage accumulates.

Pimples: May be OCD related Pickets Disease. Prozac (fluoxetine) is one of the treatments. You should see a dermatologist as well. Sometimes if the pimples itch the itch can be treated and that may decrease the urge to pick

Depends on the cause: If the wound is bleeding, you put pressure on it until it stops.  If it is leaking pus, squeeze as much pus out as possible and clean it thoroughly and see a physician for possible need of antibiotics.  If it is just weeping clear liquid, put a clean dressing on it with a little pressure and keep that part of the body slightly elevated to decrease the pressure to that region.

Direct pressure : Apply direct pressure to the wound for 5 minutes. If there is no change in bleeding or if the wound appears deep see an urgent care or er for a wound evaluation and possibly stitches.

Is it infected?: Without physically examining your insect bite, there is only a medical guess as to what is triggering the weeping. Is it infected? This would be the 1st concern--addressing the infection is the only solution here. If the weeping is watery clear, then perhaps this is more of an allergic-type reaction that might respond to oral antihistamines such as allegra (fexofenadine). Call md if infected or not better soon.

Unclear: It's pretty hard to stop the scarring process unless you die or use some unusual drugs which interfere with the complex body response to wound healing.  If you were able to do the latter, well then, the healing is incomplete.  Under six weeks the scar is not very strong; less than two and it could open. If you're talking about gel sheets, they don't affect strength, just the top thickness of scar.
