May if recurring symptoms need to consider other possibilities such as urinary tract or other infection or migraine in which case a doctor assessment would be recommended.  But if all settled for now can wait and see

Food poisoning: Food poisoning can irritate the stomach lining . Try otc medicines such as famotidine(pepcid) or Omeprazole (prilosec) and an antacid (mylanta or maalox plus) . See your doctor if symptoms persist. Avoid spices, alcohol, coffee, tobacco and stress. Drink clear liquids for the next 24 hours, avoid eating regular food until you can tolerate regular liquids and soft bland foods

Gastroenteritis: The question is whether you both have a viral gastrointestinal infection rather than food poisoning. Either way treatment is simply rest, intake of adequate fluids including flat ginger ale which settles the stomach, and use of Tylenol for aches,pains and feverishness. Diet should be light with broth, salitine crackers and advancing to soft,bland foods. Symptoms should resolve in a few days.

However, if she can't keep down liquids, has unremitting vomiting, has fever, symptoms evolve and worsen, or she sees blood with vomitus or diarrhea she will need medical attention soon.

There are antinausea preparations that can be given by rectal suppository. Go and have her seen and hope she is better soon.
