Common problem!: Cheek bite as a result of wisdom tooth growing is quite common. It is likely that the wisdom tooth did not in functionally erupt. It is best to have your dentist check to see if you have sufficient space for functional use of this wisdom tooth. If not, your dentist may advise that you have the wisdom tooth/teeth removed.

This will take 6 wks and you will have to be diligent and pay attention to the times and conditions that cause you to bite lips/cheeks. Changing those conditions, being aware will work. Mucocele, a small bump due to salivary deposit into soft tissue after a minor salivary gland/duct rupture following trauma such as lip biting, can further introduce more lip biting.
