Time to heal: Likely nothing serious is wrong.  If you are able to do normal daily activities, walking for example, without difficulty, you likely just need more time to heal.  The only caveat to that would be if you have point tenderness when touching your ankle, it would be a good idea to follow up with the doctor you saw who ordered the MRI to assure there in no chronic problem limiting your recovery.

Muscle &amp; Joint issue: You need to be evaluated by your doctor.  He/she will give you a diagnosis and treat accordingly.  There are a number of possibilities such as neuropathy and fibromyaglia and arthritis.  Peace and good health.

SPRAINED ANKLE: You have post- traumatic arthritis  secondary to sprain. Be advised by MD aside from NSAID .Not growing pains anymore.

i kicked the corner of the door way with my pinky toe and now my foot is swollen and i cant walk on it because of the pain from my toe. should i go to the dr or the hospital to see if it is broken/ sprained or wait ?

X-ray : Yes I would seek medical attention. You need X-rays   To swell like you describe something else could be involved. Possible injury somewhere other than the toe. Compression fracture could have occurred to the metatarsal.

Get evaluated: Without a history of trauma, i would suggest evaluation by either your primary care physician or a rheumatologist.  You may be suffering from a form of arthritis.  An evaluation by a physician would be helpful.

Contact dermatitis: Medicamentosa is usually general, flat and red. Bumps suggest a contact , new shoes or sox. Wash them or wipe them before wearing Try a little cortisone cream or if all else fails a doc can give you stronger stuff.. Have to be a detective. Check what is new and different that your hands and feet have touched.
