noticed blue veins on my 5w baby's right side of the head that feel dented to the touch. i'm scared because i don't know what they are. please explain?

Newborn head: The veins are easy to see and feel on a newborns head. Also, the head can be misshapen fro the trip down the birth canal. This does not sound like anything to worry about. But for your piece of mind, have your pediatrician examine the baby.

See  a doctor: could be pure anxiety and stress like hyperventilation can cause similar symptoms
but you might to make sure you do not have any problem with the facial nerve in the face
go to the emergency room or see your doctor might  be able to help you and assure you

i have 2 blue veins that just showed up on my face, on the left side of my jaw. where would these suddenly come from? is it anything to worry about?

No, : I would not worry but to be an the safe side have your family physician check you out clinically making sure there is not lymph node or parotid gland enlargement. If not, which i believe will be the case, and if bothers you it could be closed by injection sclerotherapy!

why do my veins in my wrists neck head ankles and feet feel tender and swollen. lots of blue veins in my legs both baricose and spider. what causes?

Maybe bad valves : One reason is xs fluid or poor heart function. However at your age if you are in good health and active , poorly functioning valaves in the veins of your legs may cause blood to pool there . This would not explain the veins in .your arms and neck Sometimes normal veins arr prominent in thin people

Middle age problem: Get plenty of exercise, eat well, get plenty of rest, avoid multiple hours in front of computer, avoid smoking or smoke filled rooms, avoid too much sun exposure. Sometimes even following all these guidelines thin skin can reveal underlying veins.  If these are normal veins they will be hard to remove. If they are spider veins then laser treatment may be available. A photo would be helpful.

Yes probably: There are certain types of lasers that can remove certain types of veins near the surface.  You would need to see a dermatologist or cosmetic or plastic surgeon expeienced in laser treatments to see if it would work for you.

Answer: I my medical experience the best treatment for vericosevceins is laser treatment. There are other treatments but the laser seems to work the best and leaves no scaring in my experience care back is the expense

R/O  LIVEDO: Dilated blood vessels in the upper chest after a strenuous work out usually dissipate after 1-3hrs.  If they persist and at only on one side , I would seek prompt evaluation. People with an underlying clotting disorder or an autoimmune problem can develop a condition called LIVEDO Reticularis. So monitor your symptoms if they persist Or worsen seek a prompt evaluation.

Normal finding: I am amazed about how often I have women ask me about the veins on their breast.  Occasionally they are spider veins but mostly they are blue veins.  These are almost always normal findings and normal variations of chest veins.  They tend to be more pronounced in fair skinned females and they may be related to hereditary factors or even pregnancies.  No treatment is necessary unless for cosmetics.
