Use legs: Make sure you use your legs when lifting to avoid stress on your back. Sleeping position is also important for chronic back problems. Finally, some short term physical therapy where they can teach you a home back program to strengthen your back muscles and improve your range of motion is very helpful. Just don't overdo it too soon.

Reflex: Part of it could be reflex. Part could be the toothpaste you are using. Try a different brand that may be more appealing to your taste, and don't be so aggressive towards the back of your tongue. No need to vomit at the thought of brushing your teeth.

: This is an abnormal test and means your blood sugars are definitely above normal. If you are overweight, you need to diet, exercise and lose weight. You should see a dietician to learn about a low carbohydrate diet. You should get a glucometer and check your blood sugars before meals and at bedtime-show your doctor your numbers. Then, re-check your hemoglobin A1C in  about 3 months to see if &lt;6.

Nasty Knots: It sounds as if you are possibly overtraining.  Increased spastic pain after a period of rest following a vigorous work out suggests excessive microtrauma to the muscle tissue.  Repeat exercise or stretching increases blood flow to help with localized wash-out of Lactic Acid that builds up after vigorous workouts which is why if feels better...Temporarily.  Avoid overtraining and rest properly.

Be aware : Be aware of proper body mechanics by using your legs as your power source and keeping the load close to your body while avoiding any type of twisting or rotation as you lift.  Know your limits especially with large, bulky objects or heavy ones.

After you: check with your primary doc, consider taking up yoga.  It's great  for the spine, especially if you work  all day.
