HPV vaccine: HPV types 6,11,16,18 are the most common that cause genital warts and are involved in cervical cancer and are the ones that are included in the vaccine. Technically if you receive the vaccine according to schedule you should not get these types, however not everyone responds to vaccines.  Furthermore, it is possible to get strains that are not in the vaccine.  So yes, you can still get warts

HPV ?'s : HPV is contagious, and can be passed to another by sexual contact.  Given sexual contact, using condoms may prevent to some extent, but contact with the virus may occur on vaginal or vulvar areas, since the virus exists beyond where the condom covers.

Yes: You can. The way to prevent it is not to have sex with someone with the disease and some types can be prevented by getting the HPV vaccination

You don't: This is a viral process that generally clears its initial infection on its own over the first year or so. Warts can certainly be treated  with local destruction, but non wart strains have no treatment. Their potential for conversion to a pre-cancer/cancer is one that plays out over years/decades.Regular surveillance for this transition allows early excision (cure) of any abnormal cells.

No hysterectomy: Consult with your gynecologist &amp; seriously consider counseling with a psychiatrist or psychologist. Hysterectomy does not cure HPV which can affect more than your uterus. Sympathies for your HPV problems which are making you depressed but both problems need to be addressed. Good Luck

What did Pap show?: Did ur Pap cytology show SIL? - LSIL or HSIL?
If so, given ur age, you need a Colposcopy, regardless of HPV result.  However a high risk HPV subtype supports the cytology result of SIL.  A colposcopy with biopsies / ECC will provide histologic samples for the pathologist to determine severity of cervical dysplasia.  Please see clinician who is qualified to perform colposcopies to review ur results

Absolutely: The HSV viruses are herpes simplex. Gardasil will help prevent you getting any of the HPV viruses, a different family, that you have not already contracted. It's a good idea. Best wishes.

Sounds fine: Water has been used for thousands and thousands of years, and is fine. However, one should not overwash, as that will cause skin problems. Adding a gentle soap will help with washing away things like bacteria, viruses, or fungi.
