A thorough eye exam, and adjunctive tests like ultrasound, x-rays, and angiography are all used to diagnose ocular tumors.

Yes: There are several types of eye cancer, some more treatable than others.  Children can get a certain type of cancer called retinoblastoma.  A common type of cancer in adults is melanoma.  There are also many types of benign eye cancers.  If you are having vision problems or have been told you have an eye cancer, you should see a retina specialist, as many eye tumors affect the retina.

Likely not: What kind of eye cancer you are referring here? Eye cancer is not common. I dont think that short term exposure to cigarette smoke can cause eye cancer. It may give you irrittation on the outside layer of the eye- conjunctivitis- makes your eyes red and discomfort. However, cigarette smoke is not something that you want to be exposed with, anyway-either as a first hand or as a second hand smoker.

What do you mean by the "eye not clearing up?" is an extternal or internal eye cancer still present or are you referring to residual post treatment inflammation?
