after eating salty foods like chips or popcorn my lips,  tongue and throat swell up. sometimes hard to breath. what could i be allergic to? is it bad?

It May be Serious: You need to stop eating these foods and see an allergist for an evaluation. You may be very allergic to something, either the food itself or possibly a preservative. Any time you have swelling and difficulty breathing it could be very serious and if an allergy could lead to a potentially fatal reaction. You should have Benadryl (diphenhydramine) with you at all times and take it right away if you get swelling.

Kidney Pain?: Hard to know if it is actually your kidney that is sore.  Need to discuss this with a kidney specialist/urologist.  There are many reasons for pain in the side/flank that may or may not be due to a kidney problem.

Type 2 diabetes: Your fasting and post meal glu values are rather good. It appears you have discovered that weight loss and diet (and exercise?) is more powerful than medications for blood sugar control.  It would be nice if you can get your fasting glu below 100. But you should still be talking to your doctor. There is more to diabetes than blood sugar.  Blood pressure? cholesterol?  Eyes?  Feet? Kidneys?

Hour or so after: More importantly, simply being dedicated and sticking to a regiment of exercise is the most important and assuring you eat less calories than you burn off. If you start to really watch the amount of carbs and count your calories daily, then exercise to burn off the calories, it is a mathematical constant that if you burn more calories (weight) than yo eat, you will lose weight. No: That is not healthy and can lead to health problems such as esophagitis, tooth decay, and malnutrition.  That is not the way to lose weight.  You should see your doctor to discuss this and find specific ways for you to lose weight in a healthy manner.

Reflux?: sounds like you are experiencing reflux, a condition where ingested food doesn't stay down in the stomach.
the food is sent back because of a weakened muscle at the end of the esophagus. You should see your doctor or a GI( gastroenterologist) as this can lead to chronic changes in your upper GI tract

Food allergies: you most likely allergic to melon and pineapple. May be other foods too. Have allergy testing done and get allergy shots for desensitization

Hiatal hernia: Possible hiatal hernia or gastric ulcer. Try to see a Gi doctor or try antacid first
