Long time: I would take him for a check at urgent care or a doctor's office. Make sure he isn't dehydrated, anemic: there is likely an underlying  reason why what you've been doing hasn't helped. If he has a cluster headache, they are difficult to treat and can last for days , most other headaches subside after 1-2 days.

Eating something to raise your blood sugar should resolve it.  In the future steer clear of foods/beverages high in sugar. Research the "glycemic index" to find carbs that will avoid that.

You may have to start with antibiotics for the tooth, then what ever that can be done to fix the tooth such as root canal or pulling the tooth ot other.  Hopefully this will take care of the ha.  I would not delay treating the tooth.  Get antibiotics now and see dentist as soon as possible.

Headaches: There are different approaches to different kinds of headaches.  For all, adequate and healthy restorative sleep is imperative.  Regular exercising with deep breathing and relaxation also help.  Relieving neck tension by massage can help.  If migraines, to prevent use a combination nutraceutical with magnesium, vit b2 (riboflavin), coq10, feverfew and/or butterbur (herbs).

Just rest: And a good nights sleep can help.  Some people use herbal remedies.  Some of this is placebo effect.  Sometimes just having your friends over and feeling happy can reduce headaches.
